After a long and extensive investigation by the management and technical team to modernize press controls and add new closed loop controls for density, colour register and cut-off register, BT Trykk opts for Wifag to implement the in-house, state-of-the art Wifag “Platform Plus” controls and thereby start the replacement of the existing controls.
In cooperation with 3T Control for the closed loop controls, this is an exciting premiere in Scandinavia. The project will be realized in the course of 2012. This is the first time that such a comprehensive package will be realized on a Wifag press.
The Wifag OF 370 press line comprising 9 towers and 2 folders was commissioned in 1998. Bergens Tidende is printed at BT Trykk. It is Norway's fourth largest newspaper and largest regional newspaper that reaches approximately 260,000 readers every day.
