Dry offset technology
Polytype is the leading company in the dry offset printing technology, in which we have nearly 100 years of experience.
Dry offset is an indirect letterpress printing process, where we print wet-on-wet all colours onto a rubber blanket. On this rubber blanket we assemle the complete image. The final image is then transferred to the tube/sleeve.

Waterless Offset (Toray)
Basically, this is similar technology to the dry offset technology, with the main difference being the printing plates. These printing plates are silicon based. The dry offset printing plates are nylon based.

Flexo printing
Polytype offers the alternative of wet-on-dry printing technology on tubes/sleeves, which is the most common technology in printing paper/labels.
This is the pure letterpress printing technology, with between colour UV drying of the ink.
On the Linearis machine it is possible to decorate tubes or sleeves with the flexo printing technology up to 12 colours, which gives a wide range of possibilities.

Screen printing
With the rotary screen technology, Polytype offers the prospect to make a high validated design in a productive manner. Based on this technology we can run production on our Linearis machine with the speed of 120/min.

Hot-/Cold Stamping
Also an option on the Linearis machine is Hot stamping or Cold stamping technology. This option permits a wide range of possibilities concerning the metallic effect decoration regarding quality and productivity.

Digital
Polytype are also working on the development of digital printing on plastic tubes. The goal of Polytype is to have a solution with this printing technology where we can achieve a stable quality level, which fits to the expectations in the cosmetic industry.
