Beverages

Access to affordable, hygienic and safe drinking water, fruit juices, isotonic and other non carbonated liquid nutrition is a predominant need in hot and arid, tropical and subtropical regions throughout the world. A lightweight plastic drinking cup with a lid is a good, low-cost packaging solution with a very convincing appeal. Made out of PET for recycling purposes, where required.

To differentiate the large range of flavors, brands and target groups of such soft drinks, an attractively colored drinking cup has a great impact on first impulse purchases. We offer the most cost-effective decoration method using direct print with dry offset printing machines for this packaging style. The world increasingly dominated by events, happenings and communities and is triggered by branding as a symbol of membership and support. „Stadium cups“ are a good example of such a need to be addressed. Dry offset decoration provides very good results at an attractive price for plastic, foam or paper cups.

If premium market positioning and more sophisticated serving are more suitable for your product or you are looking for containers for carbonated products, take a look at metal packaging beverages.

Food

Dairy food products play a key role in nutrition in almost all regions in the world. In many countries a shift from home made to industrially produced and packed yoghurts, butter and margarine is either still happening or has been state of the art for many years. Cost and shelf appearance are the most dominant decision factors for such products and require a packaging technology that can deliver reliablye, in high volumes and creatively decorated plastic containers.

In more saturated markets differentiation and new recipes corresponding to aspects such as convenience, ready-to-go or health nutrition are the marketing focus of the global brand owners. Combining dairy food-, with fibers, granola, dried fruits or other combinations of semi-liquid and dry ingredients is an interesting market segment. Multi-chamber, decorated cups are an easy and very functional packaging solution for this growing need; printed on dry offset equipment of //polytype.

In case you are looking for a way to serve your semi-liquid products such as sauce, mayonnaise, mustard or other products //polytype and mall//herlan can offer you other packaging methods : Plastic Tubes and Metal Packaging.

Technologies

Dry offset technology

//polytype has nearly 100 years of experience in dry offset printing technology and is a leading company in the sector. Dry offset is an indirect letterpress printing process in which we print all colors wet-on-wet onto a rubber blanket. We assemble the complete image on this rubber blanket. The final image is then transferred to the tube/sleeve.

Waterless offset (Toray)

This technology is similar to dry offset technology, the main difference being the printing plates. These printing plates are silicon based. The dry offset printing plates are nylon based.

Digital

//polytype is also working on the development of digital printing on plastic tubes. Our goal is to achieve a stable level of quality with this printing technology, satisfying expectations in the cosmetic industry.
